About Vba

VBA (acronym for Visual Basic for Applications) is an incredibly powerful automation tools for programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and other Microsoft programs. It allows users to predetermine a set of tasks or computations that can be recursively executed by the program with a single click. VBA allows the standardization and automation of a plethora of repetitive tasks making it possible to decrease hours of work in programs such as Excel, Word, and Access, to mere minutes. VBA is especially popular for its use cases in Excel. It allows users to create macros that automatically run operations regarding data and cell manipulation, as well as complex computation, all within seconds. Users can create these macros directly in Excel by manually walking through the steps desired and its an intuitive way to create VBA code. However, understanding the resulting code allows you to make edits where necessary, understand what is going on per each line, and actually write functionality straight from the editor.

Why might Vba be interesting for you?

If you work a lot with Microsoft Office programs, especially with Excel, having a good understanding of Virtual Basic of Applications is a must. It allows you to streamline repetitive operations, decrease your error rate, and gain massive amount of time back. In order to work with VBA it is incredibly helpful to have a good understanding of the programs core functionality, as such that you can leverage these when writing the VBA code. Having for example a solid grasp of Excell and adding VBA expertise om top of this, makes you an unstoppable Excel master. Whether you are working with programs such as Excel and Word for your studies, personal life, or in your professional life, learning VBA will pay off handsomely. Also, learning this programming language allows you to run computation that would normally require pricey software with your basic Office package.
